@MrWill_Smith The underlying question is really “what’s the difference between a stationary and travelling wave?”

@MrWill_Smith P and R do not have the same amplitude so that eliminates B. P will go down when R goes up. It’s a stationary wave so isn’t like a travelling wave which would have changed the answer as p would have travelled the full amplitude and been out of phase.

Update: clearly the corneal graft is working - mother able to operate the phone and do a family face time. Although the face guard does make her look like a pirate 🏴‍☠️ (amazing to see the microscopic stitches). If you’re thinking of a medical career…the eyes have it !

I’m taking a moment to thank our amazing #NHS. My 82 year old mother has come out of hospital following a 3rd corneal transplant, done in a pandemic with love and care. You are amazing as her sight is saved ! My heart goes out to the family whose loss made this possible. 💜
