JMO if the UIL puts in a mileage cap for hosting in the first round of the playoffs it should be for all classes....last year in 5A football we had a team travel 574 miles one way for a bi-district game #txhsfb

[Texas Prep Softball Coaches Association @TXPrepSoftball]

As we begin the summer, coaches please don't forget that the double first base is mandatory for the 2027 season. This is an UIL state adoption that supersedes the NFHS rule book.

Also make sure soon if you are hosting a tournament on city, county, private, etc. facilities, that they also have the double first base. I know we are already making sure that all of the Bryan/College Station area complexes that we use for the @leadoffclassic have them ready.

UIL sent this out to all coaches before the season and will post reminders on the website soon.

@SenAdamSchiff You are an inconsiderate, heartless piece of crap... I hope you get the same disease and people talk negatively about you instead of praying for your recovery
