@leafsforever72 Marchenko is an expiring UFA, if he’s that good and we were going to pay him anyways why not wait till next season.

We gave up Knies for 1 year of Marchenko. Knies, like Kadri, does everything right; he hits, plays defence and can score.

The league is moving away from paying players purely based on PPG.

You look at examples like when Z. LaVine, B. Beal or K. Kuzma got paid and the teams are paying the price for it.

That’s why Simons only got $6M
