Today is the launch of the #ReadySteadyGo π¦ campaign, which is aimed at encouraging children & young people to keep active while in hospital π₯ & to continue this when they go home π‘ Meet Jess & Rachel from our fantastic @AlderHeyPhysio team! ππ
@LivUniPhysio The ability to understand your patient and their needs when setting shared goals, providing affirmations, and collecting their feedback creates stronger 'relationship factors'. This increases the likelihood of success & ensures the pt feels understood (Norcross, 2010) #PHTY316
@LivUniPhysio Behaviors such as a lack of physical activity or a healthy diet can be detrimental to our health; in 2019/20 11,117 hospital admissions directly attributed to obesity alone. This could be decreased by using BCT's & physical activity coaching with our patients #PHTY316
@LivUniPhysio They include approaches for people aged 16 and over, from single interventions delivered as the opportunity arises to planned, high intensity interventions that may take place over a number of sessions (NICE, 2014)
@LivUniPhysio With complex patients finding a common goal and objective for the patient can be a challenge for all those working within the team. Each profession and specialty is likely to have a different objective that may not fit in the timeline for the patient's recovery. #PHTY316
Today we are saying goodbye to 3 members of out team who have been working with us these past few months. @LBowett is a @LivUniPhysio 2nd year who has been working closely with our respiratory team and has had a MASSIVE impact on our #readysteadygo project! Thank you!!!!
