Twitter giving up its brand logo and name - one of the few valuable assets it has left - is a business decision of remarkable stupidity that will be highlighted in business school case studies for decades to come. #WelcometoX#Stupidity
I stand at the seashore, alone, and start to think.
There are the rushing waves
mountains of molecules
each stupidly minding its own business
trillions apart
yet forming white surf in unison.
Ages on ages
before any eyes could see
year after year
thunderously pounding the shore as now.
For whom, for what?
On a dead planet
with no life to entertain.
Never at rest
tortured by energy
wasted prodigiously by the sun
poured into space.
A mite makes the sea roar.
Deep in the sea
all molecules repeat
the patterns of one another
till complex new ones are formed.
They make others like themselves
and a new dance starts.
Growing in size and complexity
living things
masses of atoms
DNA, protein
dancing a pattern ever more intricate.
Out of the cradle
onto dry land
here it is
standing:
atoms with consciousness;
matter with curiosity.
Stands at the sea,
wonders at wondering: I
a universe of atoms
an atom in the universe.
“Faith is an emotion and does not listen to reason. Like love it is something we feel. Without it - faith in the ordered running of the world, faith in other people, faith in ourselves - we could scarcely survive. And so whatever happens, faith must be kept alive.” ~C.R.Milne

‘I’ve never been to college. I went down to the library when I was in grade school in Waukegan, and in high school in Los Angeles, and spent long days every summer in the library.’

"Never put off planting something or you will find that ten years later you are saying 'If only we had planted that wisteria," and you are filled with sad thoughts. It isn't too late. Do it now, and if you don't live to enjoy it, somebody else will." ~A.A.Milne #planting
