Un gimmick.

Asumiendo que ambos autos cargan en el mismo cargador de Geely “ultra rápido” (los que son por ahora amplia minoría en China) el Lynk & Co 20 del video cargaría de 10 a 70% en 9 a 10 minutos. Un Tesla Model 3 Long Range lo haría en 16 a 20 minutos.

Entre 6 a 11 minutos de diferencia. Un gimmick de mercadeo.

El 90% de la vida de un auto eléctrico es cargar en forma doméstica durante la noche en 7 horas, mientras duermes, un par de veces por semana o a diario si conduces mucho.

I hear you, but lately they have changed their strategy when announcing new products. They cook silently and then hit the announced target dates nicely:

Cybercab — unveiled Oct 2024. Paying rides in Austin Sept 3 (1 month ahead)
Colossus 1 — told 24 months. Live in 122 days!
Corpus Christi lithium — groundbreaking May 2023, production in 2025. American LiOH in a Cybertruck this month! (Right on time or slightly off!)

Still hesitant, but good reasons to believe radio silence about Optimus is not a delay. Let’s see.

I know a lot of people are disappointed that Tesla hasn’t released any meaningful new information about Optimus for a while. We’re essentially in the dark about its latest progress, while at the same time watching Chinese humanoid robots perform incredible stunts at the World Humanoid Robot Games in China.

It’s hard not to wonder what Tesla has been working on behind the scenes—and when we’ll finally get a glimpse.

“I saw one of the latest Optimus demos. I teased it at the beginning of the show. Can’t say what I saw, but I can tell you what I saw is better than anything I just saw at these World Games.

Optimus is going to be the greatest product ever made by humanity. It is next level. It’s being built by Tesla — you know, they ripped out the Model X and the Model S factory lines and they’re building these.
Optimus is going to… if Optimus came to these games, I would predict Optimus wins thirty-five of fifty-one contests.”
