What I think we do not appreciate enough is the fact that today, you can have a group of friends in which one person is super-successful and the second one is "average" and they both have the same phones, they can travel together, go to restaurant from time to time and in 90% of the time they have very similar life.
That was probably not possible (or hard to have) 100 or even 50 years ago. Of course, probably the person that is highly successful can travel more, can go to fancier restaurants and have better car, but it's just about the scale of the same products.
We still have a lot to do for people outside bigger cities or people that can feel "excluded", but I would not be that cruel and blame everything on capitalism.
A Noronha Lopes? A Nuno Gomes?
