@StN_Freda Can’t believe how much has changed in two years since I qualified, it’s shocking when everywhere’s so short staffed! Hope you manage to be successful soon x
Next week Maddie start’s nursery, as much as I’m looking forward to going back to work not sure how I’m feeling about leaving her or paying the crazy fees!
WE GOT THE WIN ON CHILD BENEFIT!
Chancellor tipped me off before budget, said this was due in large to MSE/my shows campaigning all based on all those of your who messaged me to say it was the key thing to put to him
So
1) From this April threshold which hasn't moved since 2013 rises from a single parent earning £50,000 to £60,000 and you lose child benefit totally at £80,000 (not £60,000)
2) Consultation on moving it to family income not individual income and hopefully that'll be in place from April 2026 (this is to stop unfairness for single income/single parent) families.

One part of my job I’ll always find frustrating is having to send people in to hospital who aren’t acutely unwell just because it’s not safe for them at home alone and there’s literally no services available to safety net them! Things need to change!
I would never normally complain about the nhs, I completely understand how overworked and stretched everywhere is but the maternity care I have received so far has been beyond shocking! And todays midwife just topped that off 🤦🏻♀️
