Even we are command not to destroy it even in battle

But building it and renovating it isn't permissible by the majority of the scholars

The hanafis held that if a person hires himself out of work in a church and to renovate it the is no harm in that because there is no sin in the work itself

And know this it's not every halqoh that uses their local language for halaqaat
You can never and will never be taught sahih al bukhari in class even in your PhD level but it very easy to attain this in halqoh

My advice is madrasah without halaaqotil ilm is not complete

But before the occurrence of madrasah halaqaat is the source of acquiring knowledge did you think halaqaat is how they are doing in this Nigeria

It very rear to finish a book in madrasah with almost my 11years studying in different levels of madaris but very easy in halaqaat

Attending Halqah can never make you a scholar. You better enrol yourself in a standard Madrasah or be under the tutelage of a sound scholar to acquire the required knowledge. Know this and have peace.
