Learnella | Teacher-built tools and dry classroom truth for education in England. Less Sunday. More Monday. Resources, workload relief and printer rage.
@Catlin_Tucker I’m a fan of this. As soon as they leave school, there’s none of this. It’s sink or swim. Can’t behave appropriately? Sacked. Loss of friendships. Removal from social spaces. Crucial, this.
I’m Adam, a Year 6 teacher building Learnella.
It’s for teachers who want useful resources, SEND support, SATs tools and report-writing help without losing their Sundays.
Mostly teacher-built tools.
Occasionally printer rage.
If you’re a UK teacher, SENCO or Year 6 teacher, say hello.

Teacher retention will not be solved by slogans.
People stay when the job feels possible.
That means workload, behaviour, pay, trust, CPD and leadership all matter.
Not one silver bullet. A whole toolbox.

SEND reform in England cannot just mean moving the pressure around the system.
Mainstream schools need time, training, specialist support and money that reaches the classroom before another form arrives.

I am building Learnella around real school life:
reports, SEND, resources, curriculum support, workload, inclusion and the strange emotional politics of whiteboard pen lids.
Teacher-built. Not boardroom-built.

Learnella Include is about practical SEND support without making one exhausted SENCO hold the entire universe in their head.
Need → target → strategy → provision → evidence → review → next step.

Learnella Report is built for teachers.
You know the child.
The progress.
The next step.
Then the blank report box opens and your brain leaves through a side door.
Seeking teachers to use it for free.

Learnella exists because teachers do not need more noise.
They need useful tools, clean resources and starting points that actually understand school life.
Less Sunday. More Monday.

Marking tip:
If 20 pupils made the same mistake, that is not 20 separate comments.
That is tomorrow’s starter. Whole class feedback.
Save your wrist. Teach to the pattern.
Consult your marking policy first.

Planning tip:
Before making the resource pretty, consider this first:
“What do I want pupils to understand by the end?”
If the activity does not serve that sentence, it is probably confetti in the classroom.

Teaching in England is 20% pedagogy, 30% relationships, 40% admin, and 10% wondering why the laminator smells like it is burning.
