@drantbradley Parents that allow their kids alone on discord or Reddit or tic tok are truly endangering their children (and society). Riding to a park is a wonderful alternative.
“Why has the murder of Charlie Kirk resonated so powerfully through the culture? I am convinced it has to do with the fact that he died with a microphone in his hand—not a gun or a knife or a grenade, but a microphone.”

@EdwardVersaii Another thing: Charlie seems to have been assassinated for holding a belief that is widely believed by a large portion of America. He defended his beliefs with non violence. If he is murdered for that, what does that mean for others that hold the same view? It’s frightening.
@EdwardVersaii A few things that make it factually unique: 1) he was not an elected official. 2) He was peacefully encouraging debate on college campuses. 3) it was on American soil, which inherently resonates differently 4) he was murdered bc of a belief that most Americans have
@drantbradley Correct. Amazing people don’t realize that anyone that celebrates a political assassination might not be someone to trust around your customers, students, or patients? This isn’t cancel culture. This is about safety.
@stevemagness Following people who support my hobbies and pursuit of well-being, like you, is my primary motivation for staying on X and IG. I wish there was an easy way to distill all the noise and focus on the questions that matter. (Eg. was my easy run this morning at such a high HR?)
@StephenKing People cherry-pick Charlie’s statements on many things, completely without context, to make him sound extreme. His views are relatively centrist if we were in 1995.
@EdwardVersaii For me, what stands out is this was a kind of political violence we typically do not see on American soil. A sniper attack on a peaceful gathering on a college campus, apparently because of someone’s religious or political beliefs. And, like Columbine, it may inspire others.
@drantbradley Something is broken in humanity that I simply can’t understand. All murder is horrific. A political or religious assassination, no matter the party or politics, is simply awful. No “buts” or “clarifications” required.
Before tonight's game we held a moment of silence in memoriam of Charlie Kirk.
Kirk founded the youth activist group “Turning Point USA” and had become a fixture on college campuses. Charlie Kirk, a husband and father of two children, was 31 years old.
