@JebSprague@aaronjmate Israel is the world's 8th largest arms dealer who's behind some mass genocides so this isn't about saving lives.

The fascists are not being inconsistent.
They were doing whatever was necessary to advance the white supremacist agenda during the Obama admin & they’re doing the same now.
It’s liberals & moderates who keep operating in a fantasy of bipartisanship & constitutionality.
The arguments in favor of upholding white supremacist systems have never been consistent in any way except serving to consistently uphold white supremacy. That’s again why this liberal fixation w/ procedural norms is untethered from reality, not grounded in historical context.
No, not RBG. What a colossal loss. What a lioness. She taught us all how to fight, how to fight cancer, how to fight for justice, how to fight for our lives.
I asked: When the time comes, what would you like to be remembered for?
"Someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability. And to help repair tears in her society, to make things a little better through the use of whatever ability she has."
My 90-year-old grandfather and my 3-year-old son just had a FaceTime conversation in which they discussed their favorite dinosaurs and their favorite type of french fry. They agreed that waffle fries are best and that the Pachycephhlosaurus doesn’t get the love that it deserves.
It wasn’t just the right wing.
The reason I didn’t choose a more comfortable term for “targeting & detaining groups largely by ethnicity w/o trial in camps w/ malnutrition, sexual assault, permanent psychological trauma + bodily harm” is bc we shouldn’t be comfortable about it.
So much of what I learned about being a teacher came from conversations in the teachers lounge, running into another teacher in the hallway, sitting in the stands during a school basketball game. It was those informal spaces that taught me as much as any professional development.
I’ve been thinking a lot about first year teachers. In my first year in the classroom I relied so heavily on the brilliance and support of my veteran teacher colleagues, just stumbling across the hallway after class and asking for advice. It’s so hard to replicate that virtually.
All the people that were telling me to “keep politics out of sports”, (which it wasn’t political at all), really inspired me to win. You better believe I’m gonna try to be on your tv for as long as possible.
