Primary 2 learned all about the technique called collage today and why artists might use a collage. We then created our own collages to bring our super spooky work to life 🎃 proud teacher moment & best way to end week 1 🌟
Tomorrow is the end of week 1 of placement & I’ve had the best time but I do know some students may not have felt the same. I left my undergraduate degree in Primary Education almost 3 years ago because of a number of things but a bad experience really put the nail in the coffin.
On my last placement of my undergraduate degree I left on day 3 because I couldn’t bare to go back but tomorrow I reach the end of week 1 already having taught 3 lessons with lots of great constructive feedback. I am so glad I decided to come back!
I left feeling very confused and scared because teaching was all I’d ever wanted to do & now I had no idea what to do. This year I decided to take the jump and come back and I am so glad I did. I’ve had the best time with the most supportive mentor and tutors at #StrathPGDE
P2 explored how we are all different but we can have similarities! We explored how we can use questions and books to find out information & then used this knowledge to generate some questions to create our own books to share with each other The Story of Me 🤩 Superstars!
Also shout out to @FionaRamsay17 for all the wonderful advice on reading & storying as a wonderful tool for exploring these issues! We used a story called ‘We are All Different’ to get our conversations started 😃
Only lunch time and I’ve already been told I’m someone’s favourite teacher - there’s no greater support than that 😂 Landed so lucky with the best school and loveliest class 🤩!
I worried that my PGDE would be lonely and scary with everything being online & not really meeting anyone but blessed to have found 2 fab friends & spent the day getting placement clothes & books we can share for our placements🤩!Officially excited & glad I came back to teaching!
Excited thinking about how we’ve got Halloween, Bonfire night and Christmas build up whilst on placement 🤩 Hopefully lots of fun and some excitement & normality during these strange times for the kids! And me of course 🙄😂😂
Today Year 2 learnt the importance of making instructions really clear and easy to follow. Who knew making a jam sandwich would be so difficult?🤷🏼♀️🥪 #instructions#Year2
How am I just learning about one note?! I was so adamant that I was a traditional pen & paper notes type of girl and nothing could change that. Safe to say I’ve been proven wrong!
@TidsearSarah Me too! I start reading something & then get distracted by another reading so I’ve got lots of unfinished readings 😂 Lesson learned - I hope!
