- 169,000 children are living in temporary accommodation.
- House prices are still 7.6x the average annual full time salary.
- Food prices keep rising.
- Unemployment is climbing.
And they’ve decided to use over 1 billion on a theme park.
You simply cannot hate them enough.
BREAKING: Europe's first Universal theme park is being built in the UK with £1.3bn in taxpayer support, it has been announced
Chancellor Rachel Reeves says that 'the £1.3bn is for infrastructure. It is for the roads and a new railway station.'

@Oxford_Life It took them over 4 years to upgrade a 10 mile stretch of the M1 to smart motorway. It categorically will not happen on time or to budget.
@Roppa_286@dylan44886772@Billy155363105 The price of an adult ticket to Alton Towers is £32 - £68. The price of an adult ticket to Universal Orlando equates to between £85 - £130. Where do you think these families of 4 are getting £350/400 from to go to a theme park for a day when people are struggling to pay for food?
@its_middle_me@Gefera_ You’ve got more chance of shitting on the bottom of the Atlantic than 12 million people a year going to a theme park in Bedford. And where on earth have you got 8000 from? Cuckoo. Cuckoo.
@mej050593 I’m not 12 years old so couldn’t give a monkeys about a theme park. You can’t drive 3 yards without feeling like you’re bouncing along the surface of the moon - there’s a hundred things that take countrywide priority over a theme park no one will be able to afford to go to.
