@billybinion If you can be too young to hold office, you can be too old. It feels reasonable for the cap, when being sworn in, should be tied to whatever the SSA’s delayed retirement age is (currently 70).
@mayemusk I’m sure plenty of people would be willing to listen but won’t pay to do so while your son’s friend is making decisions that drive the cost of gas and utilities higher and higher.
@WalterHudson@AJInvestigates We do require a video, considering DHS also characterized Renee Good as a “violent rioter” who tried to “run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them.” DHS isn’t a credible or professional source.
@DHSgov That’s a whole lot of attempted justification for an incident that happened two days ago, and it conflicts with the evidence. Looking forward to the day when these govt. social media accounts are run by professionals again, who have the composure to describe events honestly.
@karolineleavitt Seriously? Do the people in the White House live in a bubble or what? A much bigger conversation right now is SNAP benefits, and the press sec. would rather talk about one of the 32 bathrooms that she had never seen but someone told her about. Bizarre.
@IkerBasanti@AP Seating capacity was 200, not 70, and “charities” include representatives of Amazon, Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft, crypto companies, tobacco companies, and more.
@AP ESPN charges cable cos. ~$9 per subscriber to carry their channels. Since they hijacked the FBS Bowl games, I usually get SlingTV for a month…With the decline of cable, ESPN should have long been offering a direct to consumer service for like $15. Their new $30 plan is too much.
@JoinMeInReality@justsarah1313@BrendanCarrFCC Yes, exactly this. Cable is loosely regulated since it’s a subscription service and doesn’t use the public airwaves. In this particular case, it’s lame for the FCC Chairman to threaten action against ABC for late night commentary that isn’t obscene, indecent, or profane.
@Amalric@EdgeCBLaw@GovPressOffice For sure - 3,500+ posts since joining last year and seems to only have a political identity. Remember when Musk tried to opt out of buying this platform, citing the overvaluation based on bots? There’s a ton of suspect activity here now, and he no longer says a thing about it.
@RonnyJacksonTX We know Biden was declining & now we’re seeing the same from Trump. Some days, he can hardly assemble a coherent thought. Ronny Jackson has zero credibility when he’s said DJT “is the healthiest president this nation has ever seen.” Evidence of our eyes and ears says otherwise.
@carnegiejy But this conflicts with what Ted has repeatedly been told on other cable TV programs…. So don’t be surprised if you get an insult instead of a civilized rebuttal, because you’re right.
@Kozy_TRMNDS@DHSgov Yeah, Americans definitely aren’t lining up to claim now-unfilled jobs working in fields in the middle of nowhere, cleaning toilets, working in meat factories, etc. The bigger threat to “American jobs” is A.I., but there’s so much distraction from that issue.
@einfeyn@Emizione Probably testing over those desert areas… A company called General Atomics tests a bunch of UAVs for the military at two private airports in that general area.
@MargoMartin47@PressSec Uh, no. “Common sense” suggests a real assessment of the damage done to an underground facility wouldn’t be possible in such a short amount of time that the bombers were still in the air.
