Irish Goodbye Aficionado. Same as it ever was. Jumping @ shadows. The future is uncertain & the end is always near. Austin Peay '95, Memphis '97. ΣΧ alum.
@mickwright Although it won't be reflected in the chronic absenteeism numbers, think of all the students who drop out, drop out & then enroll somewhere else 2 months later, don't show up @ the start of school until a month later. None of those missed days are included in chronic absenteeism.
@mntneerjay@coachwoodruff@HelmetAddict Post Civil War, many wealthy southerners didn't want 2 send their sons 2 colleges not in the south. Many attended Vandy during this time & stayed 2 live. The Parthenon replica is also next 2 VU. Nissan Stadium was originally known as Adelphia Coliseum. Another nod 2 Greek themes
@GoodmanHoops Not much ball movement from the Illini. I don't think they can keep pace offensively continuing to do the same thing in the second half. They just can't score enough playing that style.
@GovsSB Nice to see numerous Vols' fans clap for some outstanding Gov defensive plays and a few even stood up to do so. Tonight's game definitely caught some eyes of people who don't follow mid major softball. Great job and can't wait until the next home stand.
Vitale deserves all the accolades he will receive for his promotion of CBK, but I hope CBK celebrates Bill Raftery like Lee Corso and John Madden when he retires. He brings so much insight and fun to a game. I would watch a CBI play in game if he was on the call. #MarchMadnesss
@jeffborzello@rushthecourt Queens Coach Grant Leonard has the strongest theme sweater/shirt vibe for nearly every game than anyone. Pulling for them just to see what idea he comes up with for March Madness.
@TOPPER_TALK If they had the Big XII tourney LED floor, they could simulate the tide coming in & out 2 increase the difficulty. Also, it looks like they have 1 upped Bama, Tulane & Pepperdine on implementing the waves. Overall, cool idea, but not worth the confusion that may affect the game.
@GattoBaby I fell in love with Vandy basketball during the C.M. Newton & Eddie Fogler era. Perdue, McMahon, Goheen, McCaffery. Also love hearing stories of the F Troop of the 70's. Love Memorial, it is the Fenway of college basketball. 2nd only to Phog Allen Fieldhouse that I have visited.
@GattoBaby One of my basketball managers from when I coached high school basketball went on to become a Vanderbilt manager. She got all the guys from the 04 Sweet 16 team to sign a ball and she gave it to me when she came home on a break.
@ASUNSports@BrianRives Top 4 seeds mileage to
ASUN tourney in Jacksonville.
Lipscomb 591
Queens 376
Austin Peay 639
Central Ark 856 miles
Sure it will be a great crowd of 500-1000 for the games & look great on tv. Highest seed should host or central neutral location. ASUN #TheDestination of obscurity.
@EPEDtogether@Kreager Your years at Austin Peay were special. Had not seen that much excitement and interest in mid major women's basketball in the southeast before or since. Gov fans loved how selfless, smart, and tough your teams played.
