“well, i didn’t have any message on that (doing a swap) at the end of the day. i was focusing on my pace and trying to do the best i could do for my race, i had a very good first stint.
i had to stop early to try and undercut the guys in front. and that’s a bit of a team game. sometimes you’ve got to put yourself a little bit at risk, especially in the first stint for that.
lewis was very strong in the second stint, but it’s the way it goes. so i think sometimes i’ll be frustrated, sometimes lewis will be frustrated, but it’s the way it is.”
[motorsport week]
sainz fans were never even this bad while he was charles teammate. sports banter is one thing, disliking a driver is one thing, going under a driver + his pregnant wife’s posts and commenting horrendous stuff/harassing because your driver got a p4 is an entirely different thing
Happy Birthday Kimi Antonelli !! 💙🎂
To celebrate Kimi’s birthday, I made a few donations for the environment on behalf of Kimi’s name, through WWF-Indonesia Foundation and a campaign with LindungiHutan 🌱 I hope these small contributions can be useful and make a positive impact, even in a small way 🫶🏻
and it's crazy how normalized it is to just fully send de-th threats and just put disgusting comments under posts like Charles's for example..... like be mad, frustrated, disappointed all you want at a race results no one is questioning that but here it's like a competition on who comes up with the most vile comment around. Do you feel good or maybe fulfilled after coming up with and writing them? it just reflects how YOU as a person operate and just know it's not looking good
Yeah, maybe putting the team on blast over nothing the week before Monza wasn't the best choice.
Not like this is going to stop the vile abuse from the fanbase, but eh, there's no cure for that.
