I stepped out of my scrubs today! Pictured here, our final year resident (Shokoufeh Cheheili Sobbi) is performing a fully #endoscopic #mitralvalverepair.

I believe she might be the first in the world trained to undertake a fully endoscopic mitral valve surgery during her residency, and the first female surgeon to achieve this milestone. Additionally, she is advancing her expertise by pursuing a PhD on simulation training for endoscopic mitral valve surgery under my supervision.

All of this has been made possible due to her fierce dedication, our dedicated #simulationtraining program, and the super standardized procedure we have developed!
