We go live in one hour.
Today we break ground on our Research and Manufacturing campus.
The site will house our fusion system, which will be America’s first to achieve net facility gain, a milestone toward commercial energy and high-yield fusion, a critical capability for national security.

@HudsonInstitute just urged the U.S. to invest in public-private partnerships for national security.
China has invested roughly $10 billion in inertial fusion projects, rapidly building infrastructure to advance commercial fusion power and sharpen its nuclear weapons capabilities.
Public-private partnerships are how the U.S. stays ahead, secures energy dominance, and strengthens its stockpile stewardship and weapons testing.
Hudson recommends:
→ An NNSA-led milestone program for next-generation, high-yield inertial confinement fusion (ICF) that follows the logic of NASA's COTS program
→ A set of clear capability requirements from NNSA — with accountability required
→ Faster partnerships through CRADAs, OTAs, and milestone payments that give government access to privately built inertial fusion capabilities
→ Recapitalization of NIF, Z Machine, and Omega alongside next-generation buildout
→ Security guardrails to protect weapons knowledge without blocking industry
→ Investment in the fusion industrial base as part of the nuclear deterrence enterprise
We need to pair public mission with private speed. Let's build.
