If you’re Texas A&M, here’s what you do next:

1. Hire the top assistant on the staff; he can get you back to a Super Regional in Year 1, garnering Coach of the Year honors along the way. You’ll sweep Texas if you do this and make it further than them in the tournament.

2. Do not play a preseason tournament overseas Year 2, but if you do, identify an up and coming G5 head coach in-state as your next guy in case the wheels come off.

3. That guy will lead you back to the postseason and by this point Schloss will have been fired at Texas after being arrested and he’ll be re-hired at Ole Miss or somewhere.
