Jag visade O’Keefe runt i Rinkeby – en förort där folkutbytet gått längst. Vi gick genom kvarteren som politiker reducerar till ”utmaningar”, men som i verkligheten präglas av islamism, gängkriminalitet och ett monumentalt slöseri med skattebetalarnas pengar. Så sent som i morse skedde två sprängdåd i området.

Därefter tog jag honom till Cyklopen i Högdalen, högkvarteret för terrorgruppen Antifascistisk Aktion (AFA) i Stockholm. För O’Keefe, som infiltrerat vänsterextrema nätverk i USA, blev detta ett konkret exempel på hur militant vänsterextremism är ett globalt terrorhot.

O’Keefe slog igenom med sitt arbete i Project Veritas. När han infiltrerade CNN fångade han medarbetare som öppet talade om politiska motiv bakom bevakningen av Donald Trump.

Ändå var det budbäraren som attackerades.

Han har även infiltrerat den terrorstämplade gruppen Rose City Antifa. När jag följde upp spåren i Sverige kunde jag visa att grundarna av RCA numera befinner sig i Varberg – något som också uppmärksammades av Vita huset.

Länge upplevde jag det som nedvärderande att kallas medborgarjournalist. Som om det vore en andraklassens titel. Som om riktig journalistik krävde presstöd, rätt kontakter och rätt värdegrund.

Men efter mötet med @JamesOKeefeIII insåg jag vad det egentligen innebär.

Vi har inga mediekoncerner bakom oss.

Inga partier som skyddar oss.

Inga lobbyister som sätter ramarna.

Jahrelang wurde Transparenz verweigert mit Verweis auf angebliche Geheimhaltungsinteressen, internationale Beziehungen und «Gefährdung» staatlicher Massnahmen. Jetzt stellt ein Gericht klar: Diese Gründe halten rechtlich nicht stand.

Was heisst das konkret?
Die Öffentlichkeit sollte bewusst im Dunkeln gelassen werden – über Preise, Konditionen und Abmachungen mit Pharmakonzernen. Und das bei Milliarden an Steuergeldern.

Besonders brisant: Das BAG argumentierte, Offenheit könnte den Ruf der Schweiz schädigen oder Hersteller abschrecken. Ein Gericht sagt nun klar, dafür gibt es keinen belastbaren Nachweis.

Transparenz wäre also möglich gewesen. Man wollte sie einfach nicht.

Wenn staatliche Stellen Informationen zurückhalten, obwohl kein rechtlicher Grund besteht, dann geht es nicht mehr um Schutz – dann geht es um Kontrolle über das Narrativ. Und genau das ist der eigentliche Skandal.
