Hi @CryptoMahatma, we're sorry to hear about your experience. Losing funds is devastating and we know how difficult it can be to process.
Please start here: https://t.co/jsOOru1d9E This guide outlines the steps to take if you've confirmed a loss.
Also, please be careful. Scammers often target posts like this. Don't engage with anyone claiming to be Ledger or offering to help recover funds. Ledger will never call, DM, or ask for your 24-word recovery phrase. If someone does, it's a scam.
Scammers impersonating Ledger and Ledger representatives are unfortunately common. While we actively report and block scammers, we can't control what accounts - real or bots - choose to say in their ads, letters, emails, websites, calls, bios or usernames on X. This remains an ongoing challenge across platforms.

Always remember: Ledger will never call, DM, or ask for your 24-word recovery phrase. If someone does, it's a scam. Stay cautious, keep your crypto safe and always Clear Sign transactions where possible.
On most devices, turning off the camera and microphone is a software setting. If the software is compromised, that setting can be bypassed.
Ledger Atom™ has a physical Privacy Switch.
Flip it to cut power to the camera and microphone at the circuit level. No app, malware or remote attacker can turn them back on. The Secure Bar shows the switch’s position.
In Secure Mode, both stay powered off, regardless of the switch’s position.
Hi @onlyforweb3, to clarify, these are distinct elements of the Ledger Atom™.
Ledger Atom™ automatically switches into Secure Mode whenever you are about to do something sensitive, such as a payment or a transaction approval in a compatible app.
In Secure Mode, Ledger OS™ takes over the whole Secure Screen display. Additionally the camera, microphone and other sensors such as the accelerometers are turned off. The Secure Bar is a strip at the top of the screen that only Ledger OS™ controls. It shows you when you are in Secure Mode. Only the secure element can write pixels there, so the bar cannot be spoofed.
Before any sensitive actions can be completed, your Ledger OS™ PIN confirms it is you. That PIN is separate from the one that unlocks the Standard side. Unlocking access to the Standard side is done via a regular pattern or fingerprint.
The Privacy Switch is a physical toggle switch that can disconnect cameras and microphones at the circuit level. It is not a software setting that can be bypassed. No app or remote attacker can interfere with the physical switch or turn it back on.
Ledger Atom will contain Ledger’s most advanced anti-tampering and tamper-evident solutions to date. It starts with the packaging, which will feature new measures to help prevent unauthorized opening. On the device itself, new methods will be included to help detect if the enclosure has been opened or display removed, and particular measures will be included to help sensitive hardware such as the Secure Element, MCU and FPGA resist tampering.
No. If you verify the full recipient address on your Ledger device’s Secure Screen and then confirm, the transaction will be signed to that exact address. Malware on a computer can’t change what the device actually signs.
Best practices:
- Always scroll and compare the entire recipient address on the device before accepting (use “long” address display on Solana so you see the full pubkey).
- If the address on device and in Ledger Wallet don’t match, reject.

Connected devices are convenient, but the same software that runs your apps also controls your approval screen. Malware can show you one thing while you approve another.
Ledger Atom™ puts the security of a Ledger signer and the convenience of your everyday apps in one device. Here’s how Secure Mode makes that work 🧵
Hello, yes, you can manage your Solana NFTs on OpenSea with your Ledger. OpenSea doesn't connect to a Ledger directly on Solana, so the connection goes through a Solana wallet such as Solflare or Phantom:
1. Connect your Ledger to Solflare by following this guide: https://t.co/QpbYJ0jzvd (Phantom works too, if you prefer it.)
2. Go to https://t.co/jdkl3sR29A, connect a wallet, and choose Solflare (or Phantom). Your Solana NFTs held on your Ledger will then be visible on OpenSea.
3. Enable blind signing in the Solana app settings on your Ledger. Listing, buying or bidding on OpenSea involves smart contract interactions that your device can't fully display, so blind signing is needed to approve them.
For reference, this guide explains how to use OpenSea with a Ledger: https://t.co/15H947avVX
It's written for Ethereum NFTs, so a few steps differ, but the overall process is the same.
A few safety tips:
- Only use the official https://t.co/jdkl3sR29A website.
- Ignore NFTs you didn't buy that suddenly appear in your wallet, as they're often scams.
- Turn blind signing off again when you're done.

Hi @Greeg79X, we have no indication that Ledger's infrastructure, systems, services or direct sales channel have been compromised.
To date, all confirmed fund losses connected to this drain incident involve devices sold through a limited number of resellers. We have not verified a drain linked to a device bought from outside of Southeast Asia but our investigations are ongoing and we are reviewing other reports.

AI agents can do the work, but transactions still need you, and the requests pile up across different tools.
Ledger Agent Intent puts them in one queue on your Ledger signer.
Here’s one proposal, start to finish 🧵
Hi @_DannyBTC, we appreciate your efforts to warn others about these scam attempts. Always remember: Ledger will never call, DM, or ask for your 24-word recovery phrase. If someone does, it's a scam. Stay cautious, keep your crypto safe and always Clear Sign transactions where possible.
Scammers impersonating Ledger and other crypto brands are unfortunately common. While we actively report and block them, malicious actors often pull from multiple leaks across the industry. In practice, even if a scam letter mentions Ledger, the address may have been sourced from any number of crypto‑related breaches. Because Ledger is a trusted name in self‑custody, scammers use our brand to increase the likelihood of tricking users.
Please stay vigilant against phishing attempts.
Please don't engage with accounts claiming to be Ledger employees or anyone offering to help recover funds. For support and technical assistance, connect with our support team directly at https://t.co/9uEZq3CHQj
