We're a family owned estate in the beautiful NW Highlands of Scotland. Come and enjoy excellent deer stalking, trout/ salmon fishing and rough shooting.
Another 69.9 KG of nearly all plastic beach rubbish weighed and removed from our Beach Clean Station at Dun Canna - all gathered by visitors who walk in and give a few minutes to help. Running total almost a ton now.
Thanks @ledmoreestate for help.
Emptying the beach clean station at Dun Canna today. Another 64 Kg gathered by people visiting the beach. Now removed and off to local dump. Sadly limited recycling facilities up here but better at dump than on the beach and in sea. Ropes and nets are serious entanglement risk.
Pupil from @UllapoolHS on work experience helping beach clean today at Dun Canna Ullapool. Loads fo netting, rope and cut of twine. Some new, some old. Russian fish can dated 1990 so twice the age of kid cleaning! Some rubbish too heavy to lift - going to try by boat. #BeachClean
70 Kg of beach rubbish removed from Dun Canna beach via our beach clean station. Over 500 Kg in a year cleaned by volunteers whilst visiting remote site. Nasty net/ropes that could entangle. Thanks to @ledmoreestate for ongoing support. #BeachClean#plasticpollution#Scotland
Another 56 KG (mainly plastic) taken from Dun Canna beach by Ullapool, lifted by walkers using our beach clean station. Making a real difference on the beach. #beachclean#ullapool
