My thoughts on today's Asia Stars Crisis statement from Krafton:

1. Not sure how I'm feeling as for Himass and Tanvuu permaban.

On one side, I can clearly see Krafton's point of having to punish them severly, considering how much the crisis escalated.

On the other, I do feel like permaban might be an overkill and a indirect slap to entire VN PUBG scene - for the record, I expected a year suspension before it became clean how it'll end.

2. Crisis like this was one of main reasons I've been vocal for a long time that Krafton had to do more when investigating, and especially punish any violations at major tournaments.

Krafton had to make a harsh decision, yes, but I can understand bitterness of VN fans when comparing this to other major violations (both NVIDIA Inspector LAN issues, 17/Tianba collusion etc.)

3. I think with today's statement, Krafton did not properly cleared out the allegations thrown during the Asia Stars crisis, and should've provided a stronger statement against the malicious comments thrown by "fans" on both KR and VN side.

Now, we're entering an uncharted waters for PUBG Esports, as we are yet to see the aftermath in VN players and teams moving to other games, whether PUBG will even be able to continue as an esport in Vietnam, whether the actions will be enough to bring back trust of PWS sponsors (they didn't came back today), and whether and how this will impact global scene in long-term.

And from myself, I've wanted to apologize to Rambo for myself blowing up on him - I don't agree with his post as in my eyes he threw the question to indirectly attack Soopi and it only escalated the VN "fans" attacks towards her, but he has his own freedom to say what he thinks, and I shouldn't call him fake news just because I disagreed with him.
