Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Beijing on Monday.

China and Belarus should maintain strategic communication, and promote the continuous progress of bilateral relations that are already running at a high level to better benefit the peoples of the two countries, Xi stressed.

China supports Belarus in safeguarding its national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and in pursuing a development path that suits its own national conditions, Xi said, expressing China's willingness to continue to offer assistance within its capacity for the development of Belarus.

The two countries should mobilize resources from various sectors to advance Belt and Road cooperation, and enhance coordination and cooperation within multilateral frameworks to serve as a stabilizing force in a turbulent world, Xi said.

China's Ministry of Commerce on Monday added 20 #Japanese entities, including the National Institute for Defense Studies, to its export control list to safeguard national security and interests and fulfill international obligations such as non-proliferation.

Export operators are prohibited from exporting dual-use items to these entities. Overseas organizations and individuals are prohibited from transferring or providing dual-use items originating in China to these entities. Any related activities currently underway shall be halted immediately, according to an announcement released by the ministry.

Also on Monday, the ministry placed 20 Japanese entities, including Mitsui E&S Co., Ltd., on a watch list because their end users and end uses of dual-use items cannot be verified.

The Chinese People's Liberation Army Southern Theater Command deployed naval and air forces to conduct routine patrols from June 27 to 28 in the #SouthChinaSea, spokesperson Zhai Shichen said Monday.

In an attempt to stir up trouble in the South China Sea, the #Philippines co-opted countries outside the region to organize so-called joint patrols, disrupting peace and stability in the region, Zhai said.

Forces of the command will resolutely safeguard China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, and firmly uphold regional peace and stability, the spokesperson added.
