@INOVIQLtd has successfully completed disease-specificity testing for breast cancer.
The test has been analytically and clinically validated to detect breast cancer across all stages (81% sensitivity and 93% specificity), key breast cancer types and subtypes, and is effective for breast cancer monitoring.
This simple, accurate, and affordable blood test was developed using a widely utilised CA15-3 monoclonal antibody and INOVIQ’s SubB2M detection reagent. By specifically targeting neuCA15-3 conjugated CA15-3 produced by cancer cells, the test enhances cancer specificity and reduces the likelihood of false positives. The purpose of this study was to show the neuCA15-3 test was positive for cancer and had low false positives for non-cancer diseases and healthy. The results were negative for 97.4% of non-breast cancer samples, confirming the test specificity for breast cancer.
CEO, @leearnehinch said: “The test is being developed as an LDT for the US market initially. Demonstrating the specificity of neuCA15-3 for breast cancer detection completes another component of the test validation. The next step towards commercialising the neuCA15-3 test is to transfer and optimise the test on a system compatible with high-throughput commercial diagnostic instruments.”

@INOVIQLtd has achieved a significant milestone for its EXO-OC ovarian cancer screening test. An independent patient validation study in over 500 samples validated the test’s biomarkers and diagnostic performance, detecting ovarian cancer across all stages with overall accuracy of 94% and sensitivity of 92% at 96% specificity.
In the study, exosomes were isolated from more than 500 blood samples using INOVIQ’s EXO-NET® on a fully-automated high-throughput robotic platform. Ovarian cancer biomarkers were measured using targeted mass spectrometry, a technology that can be implemented in pathology laboratories worldwide.
When these high-performing EXO-NET®-isolated biomarkers were combined in cross-validated machine learning algorithms, the overall test accuracy exceeded 94%. At a test specificity set at 96%, the sensitivity was 92% for all stages of ovarian cancer and 91% for Stage I alone.
The next steps are to optimize the EXO-OC test on the instrument platform and perform additional clinical validation to deliver the test in a clinical laboratory.
CEO @leearnehinch said: “This biomarker panel showed outstanding performance in detecting early-stage ovarian cancer, where accurate diagnosis is most critical for improving patient outcomes. Early detection enables timely intervention, which is crucial for increasing survival rates and reducing disease progression.”
