What an idiotic waste of $130 million. That's about $26.50 for every Albertan just to confirm what we already knew. Alberta's entire 2023 provincial election cost 36.75 million. Meanwhile many Albertans struggle to keep a roof over their head and food on their table.

Ten years ago today.
In just the last few days: Trump made a deal for the U.S. to buy Russian diesel, an economic lifeline for Putin; he and Elon Musk blamed each other for an order that slowed down Starlink satellite connectivity over Ukraine, hampering the country's defenses during a devastating Russian attack; and Trump waived sanctions on Russia that Congress, led by his late friend Lindsey Graham, had pushed for.
Now, Putin has proposed a summit with Trump and Xi to decide Ukraine’s fate for them, bulldoze a century of international cooperation, and frame Russia as an equal to the U.S. and China.
We’ll see if Putin’s puppet continues to dance on his strings.
Colonel Sanders, watch out! There's a new chicken king in town!

Trump thinks enough Americans will fight a civil war for him while he joins Russia in their war. He thinks Americans don’t care about Russia’s alliance with Iran. He doesn’t give a fuck about dead soldiers, and he fucking doesn’t care about the United States of America.
Trump criticising Democrats, "You'll be thrown into a communist system where everybody get's healthcare"
My view: In the UK we call it democracy and NHS
Calling universal healthcare “communism” is a way of making a basic public service sound frightening. But people in a democracy can choose to pool resources through taxation so that everyone can see a doctor when they need one, regardless of their income.
That is the principle behind the NHS: care should be based on need, not on whether you can afford an insurance policy, pay a bill upfront or risk losing your savings when you get ill. It isn’t a perfect system, and it needs proper funding and reform. But the idea that a society should look after people when they’re sick is hardly some authoritarian plot.
In Britain, we don’t have to agree on every policy to recognise the difference between a democratic choice about how to fund healthcare and a political scare story. Universal healthcare is something voters can support, criticise and improve—just like any other public service.
