Two library visits this week incorporating two ends of the cultural spectrum of the UK; ultra-modern Timperley Library in Trafford with a statue of Frank Sidebottom. The next day, Stratford Upon Avon library in Warwickshire and A Level flash back, William Shakespeare!

I've said for a while that transformation of library discovery beyond search, will be set by any companies that combine data, content and system development. I think there's a few competitors emerging in reality - but this should be a very strong one!

We are being charged for the possibility that something might happen, when the likelihood is that it wont! This is floored thinking and is more important to challenge than the actual price. Making money is not ethically wrong - making money from something that isn't happening...

Ebook pricing assumes full concurrent use by all students. This is illogical and implausible. Ask publishers to show any proof, from any study, anywhere in the world, from any point in time, that this is the case.
