We are always looking for dedicated individuals to join our team.
We are also always looking for vehicles for us to train with.

Today our crews are at Crawley Down Summer Fete. We’ve just completed a hot fat fire demonstration.
We’re here all day (barring fire calls) to meet you all and offer fire safety advice.

Our crews worked alongside @WSFRS60 this evening.

We simulated an RTC and worked with simultaneous activity to stabilise, gain access and extricate a casualty.
Some good learning points and discussions had.

Crews from Turners Hill, East Grinstead Fire Haywards Heath Fire Station Crawley Fire Station Burgess Hill Fire Station Horsham Fire Station and East Sussex have been dealing with a fire involving a property off Plawhatch Lane near Sharpthorne.

Very lucky escape by the looks of it a couple of weeks back here in the UK, trying not to judge too much without the facts and details.

This could have ended so differently though, hope the FF involved is completely un-injured and mentally well after the near miss.

We are back holding our open days again.
On the 6th of August we are welcoming the public to visit the station, watch demonstrations, meet the crews and see what being a fire fighter is all about.

Our crews have had a busy couple of days. We’ve attended 2 fires in flats in Crawley.
One was caused by a wheat bag that was left in the microwave for too long.
When using these always make sure you follow the manufacturers instructions to avoid over heating and potential fires.
