October is National Bullying Prevention Month! Ms. Dwyer, School Counselor at Colonial, recently taught students the importance of being kind and appreciating differences in others. Students made their own unique pumpkin and participated in a Spookley read aloud. @LeeSchools

Kaitlyn Christopher, School Counselor at Manatee Elem, started classroom guidance lessons last week. She is introducing herself to the students at her new school and teaching them about the importance of a safe and respectful learning environment. @LeeSchools

Darcy Neymeyer, School Counselor at Villas Elem, started her classroom guidance lessons this week! School counselors address academic, career and social/emotional development through whole class guidance lessons, small groups and individual sessions. @LeeSchools

Lindsey Dwyer, School Counselor at Colonial Elem, made mug cakes with her social skills small group. Students practiced following directions, working together, and loved their sweet treat! @LeeSchools
