Restrict to India is a GPS-based control that automatically blocks any eSign attempted from outside India
๐ Tracks device GPS location so VPNs cannot bypass it (unlike IP-based checks)
๐ Captures location in a secured audit trail

A customer eSigns your document. Clean execution with OTP and the document is signed in one go
Except: They did it from somewhere outside India
For regulated businesses in India: this is a real problem ๐งต
Most eSign platforms donโt have measures to control eSigns outside India. Some check IP - but VPNs can bypass this easily.

@free_rider Our support team feels the EXACT SAME way about the Billing panel ๐ . As you correctly identified, our dashboard is built for enterprise. Working hard to upgrade the UX in the next 3 months - your analysis here will be invaluable in helping us do that. Thank you ๐
@ajaymreddy Feel free to email us at [email protected] if you continue to face problems. Happy to see what we can do to help your conversation with the passport office
@ajaymreddy The emailed doc is the original one. The law behind this is S. 5 IT Act (https://t.co/tmSMGyrijG). You can also show the eSign certificate details ( in the audit trail)
eSign is accepted across govt. bodies but some officials may not be aware of the latest laws.
@leegality doing an absolutely splendid job of making paperwork easier during remote work (lack of printer availability grr). People who sign a lot of docs should definitely check them out
