He will continue playing for Inter Miami in Major League Soccer.
Beijing Youth Daily: Lately there has been a lot of attention on the young Chinese mathematicians who were awarded the Fields Medal. At the same time, a young Chinese entrepreneur from the robotics industry was featured on the cover of the latest edition of TIME. Actually, many of China’s major science and technology projects including space programs are being carried out by teams with an average age of just over 30. We have seen media reviews saying that China is witnessing a surge of young talent in innovation. Would you like to comment on this?
Mao Ning: We are glad to see more and more young Chinese nationals taking center stage in the world in their respective fields. These individual success stories come together to show the vibrancy, confidence and courage of Chinese youth as a group. Young people are the future. Youth transcends borders. We hope young people of all countries will join forces to contribute to global development and create a brighter future for humanity.
#Opinion: Wherever you choose to provoke, there China responds; whatever means you use to exert pressure, with equal intensity China pushes back.

China deplores and rejects the joint statement issued by the U.S. and the Philippines together with several European countries as well as the statement from the EU ten years after the “South China Sea arbitration award”.
The statements are a distortion of facts and act of vilification against China.
China’s sovereignty over Nanhai Zhudao and relevant rights and interests in the South China Sea were established in the long course of history, and are solidly grounded in the law.
Double standards on issues concerning international law will only further erode relevant European countries’ own credibility. China urges the EU side to stop endorsing the illegal “award” and not to affect the China-EU ties and cooperation.
The “South China Sea arbitration” is a political farce masqueraded as a legal process.
The “arbitral tribunal” exceeded its authority and abused its jurisdiction. The “award” is illegal, null and void. Over the past decade, more and more farsighted people have become clear-eyed about the nature of the “arbitration.” The practice of many countries, as well as the way international judicial bodies have dealt with relevant cases, also differs from the “award.”
By neither accepting nor participating in the “arbitration,” and by neither accepting nor recognizing the “award,” China is upholding the international rule of law and maritime order with concrete actions.
