Han Tae Seung - Attorney at Jaekang Law Firm

Han Tae Seung is a fiercely determined man who will stop at nothing to achieve whatever he sets his mind to. Once he has a goal, he pursues it relentlessly, regardless of the obstacles or consequences.

The problem is that his ruthless determination often goes beyond merely bending the rules, dangerously straddling the line between what is permissible and what is illegal.

He is the loyal lapdog of Seo Joo Hyuk, the managing attorney of Jaekang, one of the country's major law firms. Tae Seung follows his every order without question, a man who has long since abandoned any sense of professional ethics, conscience, or guilt.

Then, one day, an unusual woman appears before him.
Her name is Lee Mi Do, a film director.

She is a woman who stubbornly refuses to back down, driven by sheer defiance and pride, even when the entire matter could be resolved with a single settlement agreement.

At first, Tae Seung finds her irritating. Then, her behaviour leaves him utterly bewildered. Eventually, his frustration gives way to curiosity.

How can someone whose life has already fallen apart remain so proud, upright, and unyielding?

He finds her amusing. Intriguing.

And he wants her.

Tae Seung begins to yearn for this woman's trust and affection. Even at rock bottom, she remains strong, steadfast, and unwavering.

Having spent his entire life being used and discarded, Tae Seung has never experienced the kind of genuine trust and unwavering affection he now longs to receive from her.

But there is one problem.

The man who holds her affection is Namgung.
Tae Seung wants to take that affection away from him. He wants to win.

Or perhaps… what he truly wants is to be loved the way Namgung is loved.
