Subject: Complaint regarding inappropriate and unsafe treatment experience at ResearchAYU Clinic, Mulund -no proper licenses and certification of service provided staff - illegal activates are going on
Respected Sir/Madam,
I, Amit Shah, resident of Mulund West, Mumbai, would like to lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at ResearchAYU Knee Expert Clinic, located at Office No. 204, 205, 206, B-Wing, 2nd Floor, Shankardhan Plaza, Near Mehul Talkies, Above Yes Bank, J.N. Road, Mulund West, Mumbai – 400080. Dated 3Oth April- 2026 – Time 2.15
I received a call from mobile number 8692849004 offering a free consultancy service for back pain relief. Based on this, I visited the clinic. The doctor suggested a treatment package costing ₹35,000 and also offered a trial treatment for ₹3,000. I agreed to take the trial service and paid the amount.

Before the treatment, I requested to see the treatment room, but I was informed that I would be shown the room only after making the payment. After entering the room, I observed that it was not a proper treatment facility but more like a massage room. There was a window without any curtain, fully open and visible from outside.

I was instructed to remove my clothes near the window area. Despite requesting to close the window, there was no proper arrangement for privacy, ventilation, or air conditioning. During the treatment, two other individuals came near the area and continuously stared at me, making me feel extremely uncomfortable, unsafe, and embarrassed. Additionally, the partition curtain was also opened by the massage person, further compromising my privacy.

Moreover, the person who performed the massage did not appear to possess any valid license or certification from the Maharashtra Council of Acupressure or Massage Therapy. Providing such services without proper authorization and violating a patient’s dignity is highly concerning.

This entire experience was distressing and amounts to a serious violation of personal privacy, safety, and professional conduct.

I immediately called the police helpline at approximately 5:20 PM, after which two police officers arrived at the clinic. However, I was asked to sit outside while they spoke privately with the clinic owner. I was not informed about the discussion or any action taken. After the conversation, I was simply asked to leave without any explanation or satisfactory resolution.

This has left me deeply dissatisfied and concerned about both the clinic’s conduct and the handling of my complaint.

I kindly request:

A proper investigation into the clinic’s activities and facilities.

Verification of licenses and legal permissions of the clinic and staff.

Strict action for violation of privacy and misconduct.

Clarification regarding the action taken by the police officers who attended the complaint.

I request your urgent attention to this matter to ensure such incidents do not happen to others.
