To whoever the kind person is who has anonymously donated tools and a wheelbarrow to the community allotment: Thank you!

Huge thanks to Sisk and their associates for rebuilding our community allotment https://t.co/CC66UpaAK6

New Communal Allotment - join in!

With wonderful help from Sisk, we have relocated our communal allotment to Salisbury Road (beside the vets). The idea is simple, we get together to grow fruit, veg and herbs that anyone is welcome to help themselves to.

We have smartened up the tree bases along Garfield Terrace and Livingstone Street. Underneath we’ve put bulbs, cyclamen and sown seeds, so it should look good next Spring. We’d love to do more streets. Get in touch if you want to join us! https://t.co/IZSkjDd0fI

Thanks to @GoodGymYork, the soil has been spread out from the Back Park raised beds (what was the community allotment). Lots of people have suggested seeding pollinator friendly, native wildflowers in the bare patches left. What do local people think? Or just back to grass?

🙂 We're doing so well 👏👏👏👏👏

With added potential #GiftAid the community fundraiser for @SeverusHill is *just under* £2,000 away from hitting the £100,000 mark!

@Kallum_Of_York @WestBankPark @EnvAgency @networkrail You’ve chased a lot in recent months and it’s appreciated.
Here’s a radical idea… Let’s invite the full time council officer who is project managing to your next Councillor drop in at @banabasyork. Such a wacky idea for a project manager to actually speak to their end users!

Big thanks to the group of volunteers who spent today litter picking around Leeman Park and our neighbourhood. They didn’t want a photo or naming to give credit for their effort, but I’ll just say they came from a nearby large insurance company 😉. Thanks!

@DSkaith @philpinder77 There’s one in the Homestead also. My perception is they tend to be little used also, but mainly because they are inappropriately placed. Trick is to be somewhere people are already keeping fit, e.g. a popular jogging route.

Thanks Clare + Dan for a fab launch event. I look forward to using this data with you and residents to push for improvements to air quality.
Everyone deserves to breathe clean air

💛 Wow! What an incredible story! #York groundsel blooms again in Britain’s first-ever de-extinction event. Big thanks to @NaturalEngland & @UniOfYork pot plant community. Long live Senecio Eboracensis! #Tansy Crew - do we need another mural? 🌼🌼🌼 https://t.co/t6Qn0a10bw

@amysnowball @york_college @JohnSiskandSon @YRKcentral Huge appreciation @JohnSiskandSon and @york_college . Our old communal allotment has been very popular since 2015 but has seen better days now and needs to be more accessible.

@KilbanePete Congratulations on your new exec position. We hope this is on your radar… The ATE funding is great news, but time is against us. We tried to get your predecessor engaged on this issue a year ago.

Excellent news for our community! https://t.co/cIMvpIlZdb

[Leeman Park @LeemanPark]

@AndyDAgorne @YorkCycle @TheGreenParty @CityofYork @YorkGreens Does that mean you’ve managed to make all the junctions LTN 1/20 compliant, including the horrendously dangerous design for Wigginton Road roundabout? I hope so!

There will be updates on where @CommunityYoco has got to with its community plan for York Central, and pointers at upcoming @YRKcentral events. Looking forward to the Heritage Forum launch and building connections with the community yet to come!
