Key takeaway from today’s #GrenfellTower report is that only 12% of blocks with ACM aka flammable cladding, has been rectified. After 7 years how can that be remotely right. People still living in potential tinderboxes. The new Govt needs to sort immediately. #socialhousing
@Lees_Martina As always some very good journalism highlighting the scandal of house builders refusing to deal with the cladding crisis. What would be good to see is a positive piece showing how Housing Associations have stepped up to deal with this.
@davidcarlson1@hotelsdotcom Completely agree. Been a loyal user of https://t.co/NOYnHnUVDm for years but it will now not tempt my loyalty with such a significant downgrade. I agree, now the time to support hotels directly to help keep them open.
@addy739@Calderdale@transportgovuk There is a contradiction in your comment. How can you be law abiding while committing a minor offence? I agree the pot holes need doing, but at the same time the standard of driving is appalling with many having no regard for the law. I agree with this move by the council.
@AppleSupport@VodafoneUKBiz just upgraded to 17.1.1 on my iPhone 14 pro max. Call quality is now appalling and cannot use it. Is this a known issue? Are you doing anything to fix it?
@Kwajotweneboa Only way to get that subsidy without any Govt funding is cross subsidy from sales/shared ownership.
The real issue is social housing/a home for all is not a priority for this Govt.
@Kwajotweneboa The real problem is lack of funding. Social/affordable - both sub market and so need subsidy from somewhere.
Turn your comment on its head and say the 1000 existing homes are in disrepair and at the end of their lives. They need replacing. To do that needs some subsidy.
Last night I attended the best gig I have ever been to. The energy on and off the stage was incredible. All credit to @ThePieceHall team for putting Halifax on the map. What a venue.
