I really respect people like Harry who haven’t allowed social media to melt their brains into thinking what Liverpool are striving for only benefits them, it benefits the entire Premier League if officiating improves.
There is & has to be a moment in everything bad that creates a turning point, if your mad that Liverpool’s situation could be that catalyst in achieving a better standard for everyone that’s your own problem.
Incredible how LFC questioning a system, almost universally agreed to be broken, has resulted in fans of other clubs using it to point score about how they didn’t complain when they got fucked over by the very same system
Liverpool FC asking for real accountability and ultimately improvement from the officials in charge of Premier League matches is objectively better for everyone. Fans, writers and pundits trying to criticise LFC for that is self-harming and generally idiotic.
To suggest Liverpool are after some sort of replay of Saturday is massively disingenuous. Statement is a club simply not accepting ‘soz lads’ as a way of moving on from an egregious error. If it helps bring about some genuine improvements, should it not be welcomed? 14 apologies.
To summarise:
1) Curtis Jones sent off for a harsh red card. Still image makes it look worse.
2) Minutes later Liverpool take the lead but it’s wrongly disallowed for offside. VAR quickly rules it out, doesn’t use lines to check.
3) Salah flagged for a foul on Bissouma for basically nothing. If the ref doesn’t blow Salah is in the box and could create a big goal scoring opportunity.
4) Spurs get a corner when the ball clearly comes off Kulusevski.
5) Jota booked because Udogie trips himself. He then (stupidly) makes a rash challenge which gets him a second yellow.
6) Before Jota’s second yellow Udogie asks the ref to give Jota a second yellow for a minor foul. He doesn’t get booked even though asking for a yellow is now a bookable offence.
7) Robertson and Peter Krawietz booked for complaining about a foul on Robertson.
8) Bissouma gets a yellow for putting a hand in Wataru’s face. A hand in the face should be a red card.
9) In general, Simon Hooper made a number of decisions which went against Liverpool’s flow in the game. Not being given advantage when we should have, pulling up players for fouls which were incredibly soft.
I'm not even exaggerating when I say that that was the worst match I have ever watched in my entire life. Spurs didn't win, they were gifted a result by the worst officiating performance in the history of the league.
🚨 | A thorough investigation into Darren England is set to be conducted after what is described as a “series of unexplainable and rushed decisions”, dating back to last season.
Is this the game that changes the officiating forever? This has to be the final straw surely. Some wild shit has happened here. Meetings with clubs and the FA has to happen.
There was this (second yellow offence ignored), then Porro took his shirt off and also did not get a second yellow.
It seems that every decision was made in Spurs’ favour today.
Coincidence or corruption?
@FA_PGMOL
-Jones sending off was a yellow.
-Diaz goal was on side
-Jota first yellow the Spurs player fell over himself.
-Booking Salah when Bissouma fell over himself in the corner and Salah was running through on goal.
All game changing decisions.
Absolutely outrageous performance from the ref.
Remember the last time VAR wasn’t working properly when we got robbed. 3-2 away to Arsenal for their first goal . Hand ball by Gabriel and Jesus dive
Darren England again .
Salah booked for nothing. Ref then books Jota, for watching a Spurs player trip himself up.
And now he sends Jota off.
Liverpool down to nine against the 12 men of Spurs.
Horrendous offside call by the lino, confirmed without checking by VAR which would have been 1-0
Horrendous red card for CJ who tackled the ball, with control and without excess force
Horrendous Yellow for Jota having made no challenge of the lad who tripped himself
Horrendous yellow for Mo
A disgraceful performance by @FA_PGMOL
So unlucky for the Reds
Liverpool should demand an explanation and a full enquiry over that game! It was a disgrace to the game and something is very wrong with the game! mr hooper should be dragged in front of the camera's to explain himself.
