“Every month still, approximately 3,000 children are being admitted into acute malnutrition programs,” MSF doctor James Smith told Channel 4.

“What we're seeing now is the slow and cumulative effect of deprivation, manufactured deprivation, over almost three years now. People being left to live in abysmal living conditions.”

Smith spoke from Gaza and described how Israeli attacks continue across the territory, with monitors recording roughly 200 security incidents each week, almost all involving Israeli military activity.

Smith described the “slow and cumulative effect of manufactured deprivation” imposed for nearly three years:

🔹 About 1 million people need emergency shelter
🔹 Sanitation systems are effectively nonfunctional, leaving sewage throughout Gaza
🔹 Roughly 3,000 children enter acute-malnutrition programs every month
🔹 An estimated 200,000 Palestinians have been wounded since the war began
🔹 “There are more child amputees in Gaza now than in any other territory anywhere in the world.”

“This is the legacy of Israel’s actions in Gaza,” Smith said.
