Gloves for Africa is a foundation dedicated to empowering young individuals in challenged communities. Through boxing, we provide a positive outlet, helping kids stay off the streets and build a brighter future. Join us in making a difference!
That’s why we’ve launched the #1MillionGlovesCampaign to raise 1 million gloves and reach 1 million kids across Africa.
Yesterday, we visited @lionstarboxingclub26, one of the communities in Lagos State, Nigeria.
We need your help.
Across Africa, millions of children live on the streets, facing unimaginable hardships daily.
In Uganda, there are about 10,000 street children, Ghana has 40,000-90,000, Kenya 300,000, Sudan 600,000, and Nigeria alone nearly 2 million.
Anthony Joshua is the perfect example of this mindset. Whether he wins or loses, he remains a champion—both in the ring and in life. His determination, perseverance, and unwavering spirit inspire millions.
At Gloves for Africa, we still stand behind you, Anthony.
Champions don’t lose, even when they’re knocked down.
True champions rise, adapt, and continue to push forward. They embody resilience and strength, showing the world that setbacks are just stepping stones.
@Wasilatadegoke During the visit we discussed how Gloves for Africa started by @Chuksuwaechia ,Accompanied by our creative director @leezort and some of the beneficiaries of the Gloves for Africa initiative, led by Ganiyu Oladapo of Glorious Boxing Gym.
@Wasilatadegoke@leezort Together, we discussed innovative ways to collaborate with the Oyo State Government to keep young individuals off the streets and channel their energy into something positive and life-changing.
@Wasilatadegoke@leezort As part of this collaboration, we are excited to introduce the Street-To-Champ Initiative in Oyo State. This program will bring boxing rings directly to the streets, offering young people a unique platform to develop their skills, build discipline, and aim for greatness.
