Jeff Hurd just voted to cut $1 trillion from Medicaid—with weak protections for rural hospitals. 5 out of 6 Colorado hospitals at risk of closure are in #CO03.

These include:
- Delta County Memorial Hospital
- Conejos County Hospital
- Grand River Hospital District in Rifle
- Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez
- Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta

Congressman Hurd sold out his own communities. Rural Colorado deserves better.

The Big Ugly Bill passed today by the Republicans devastates Colorado 3rd’s families, seniors, and businesses. 

Congressman Hurd promised to protect Medicaid but voted to gut it, betraying us from Grand Junction to Pueblo. 

Medicaid covers 31% of CO-03. This bill’s $930 billion cut could strip coverage from 22,000 in our district, hitting seniors hardest. Rural hospitals like St. Mary’s and Delta County Memorial face closure, forcing long drives for care. SNAP cuts hit 15% of households, hurting Durango’s small businesses. San Luis Valley farmers lose vital USDA water funding, threatening irrigation. 

And the bill is fiscally irresponsible, adding $3.4 trillion to the national debt.  

The bottom line is Jeff Hurd’s vote sells us out.  I’m running for Congress to protect our seniors, our farmers, our lands and way of life.  As your congressman, I’ll fight to reinstate these vital services, reduce the debt, and, unlike my opponent, I’ll always tell it like it is.
