@nascarman_rr I looked up the total points implications of this race. Gordon went to Richmond 50 points behind Jimmie Johnson and left 50 points ahead of JJ. Meanwhile Mayfield had 1 top 5 the rest of the season. Playoffs in NASCAR were always penny-wise and pound-foolish.

@AlextheAdm1ral Denny's terrible takes often come back to bite him. He said we needed stage cautions and it cost him the Coke 600. He said we were NEVER getting full season points and now it may cost him the Championship.
