Final Fantasy Resonance Producer Keisuke Nakashima says Square Enix execs initially wanted a cheap and simple port of Brave Exvius but he fought to make a full-blown original console version!
“Initially there was some resistance to the idea from Square Enix executives.”
“I didn’t want to go down that route. I wanted to create an original version for consoles that was a full-blown gameplay experience.”
“It was really disappointing to hear people didn’t want to play it just because of the gacha elements. That was another reason we wanted to make this a console game, to bring it to a wider audience.”

Happy Anniversary, Firis! What a beautiful game this is. By the time I was done in this wonderful world and Firis' mysterious journey, it had become my #1 Atelier game 💙
【🎊Happy 10th Anniversary!🎊】
Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey was released in Japan on November 2, 2016! ♪
The theme of the game is "journey." Firis had always dreamed of leaving her hometown and exploring the vast world outside. After meeting Sophie, a traveling alchemist, she begins learning alchemy and finally sets off on her own journey!
In this game, players can set up a portable atelier at designated locations called "campfires," allowing them to synthesize items while traveling.
Fun fact 💡: Firis absolutely loves meat, but she's not a fan of vegetables! 🍖
