Forget “halftime show.”
This was a cultural collision — and one side lost badly.
Bad Bunny’s performance was America in motion — diverse, loud, global, unstoppable.
Flags, rhythm, joy — the people’s anthem.
Then look at the response:
a tiny echo chamber claiming it was “THE all-American show” while choking on its own white-male nostalgia.
That’s not tradition — that’s fear.
Fear of change. Fear of visibility. Fear of a new America that doesn’t sound like them.
When your idea of “American” starts with exclusion and ends in outrage,
you’re not defending a culture — you’re reacting to a future you can’t dominate.
The crowd cheered the real show.
The pundits cheered the ghost of yesterday.
There’s your story.
