As civil society organisations and media outlets increasingly digitise their operations and leverage online platforms to manage information and engage the public, there is a growing need to strengthen knowledge and systems for safeguarding sensitive data and navigating the risks associated with emerging technologies like AI.
Today, a two-day Digital Resilience and Ethical AI Capacity Workshop kicks off under the Data Shield for Impact (DSI), an initiative part of the Nigeria AI Collective's (@aicollectiveng) Community of Practice, and implemented through @CJIDAfrica.
The workshop brings together representatives from 20 media and civil society organisations and aims to address gaps in digital resilience and responsible AI use by equipping participants with practical knowledge on data protection, ethical AI, and digital security.
