Queremos informar nuestra posición oficial sobre la cancelación del evento en Perú OVERPASS LIMA, tema que fue mencionado recientemente en un programa de televisiónlocal.

En ese programa, el representante legal de la empresaorganizadora afirmó que el evento fue cancelado porquenuestro artista, no asistió sin previo aviso. Sin embargo, estaafirmación no es correcta y constituye una acusaciónunilateral y falsa por parte del organizador.

Tanto SM Entertainment como el artista completaron todas las gestiones y preparativos necesarios para participar en los eventos programados en Perú y Chile.

A medida que se acercaban las fechas de los eventos, elorganizador nos informó de manera unilateral que, debido a supuestas circunstancias locales, debía cancelar o postergarlos eventos.
Poco tiempo después, el organizador volvió a cambiar supostura, indicando que solo se realizaría el evento en Perú, lo que generó una gran confusión respecto al estado de ambos eventos.

A pesar de esta situación, SM Entertainment mantuvoconversaciones con el organizador hasta el último momentopara intentar encontrar una solución que permitiera llevar a cabo el evento para los fans que esperaban al artista.

Finalmente, por motivos no atribuibles a nuestra empresa ni al artista, el organizador no cumplió con los requisitosnecesarios para garantizar la participación del artista.
En consecuencia, fue el organizador quien finalmente cancelóel evento.

A pesar de ello, el organizador permitió que su representantelegal apareciera en un programa de televisión y realizaradeclaraciones que no corresponden en absoluto a los hechos.
Ante esta situación, SM Entertainment expresa su profundo pesar.

SM Entertainment continuará haciendo todo lo posible para proteger los derechos, el honor y la dignidad de nuestrosartistas.

Hello, this is SM Entertainment.

We would like to clarify our position regarding matters related to the cancellation of the Peru event OVERPASS LIMA, which were recently addressed on a local Peruvian broadcast program.

On the program, the event organizer’s legal representative claimed that the event was canceled due to our artist’s failure to attend the event without notice.
However, this claim is factually incorrect and is a unilateral false allegation made by the organizer.

Both SM Entertainment and the artist had completed all necessary preparations to participate in the scheduled events in Peru and Chile.

However, as the event dates approached, the organizer abruptly notified us that the events would need to be canceled or postponed due to local circumstances.
Shortly thereafter, the organizer reversed its position again, stating that only the Peru event would proceed — causing significant confusion regarding the status of both events.

Despite this confusion, SM Entertainment and the artistcontinued to actively engage in discussions with the organizer until the very last moment in an effort to find possible solutions to ensure the artist’s participation for the fans who had been waiting.

However, for reasons not attributable to SM Entertainment or the artist, the organizer failed to provide the necessary arrangements required for the artist’s appearance, and ultimately, it was the organizer who decided to cancel the event.

Nevertheless, the organizer had its legal representative appear on a broadcast program and make statements that are entirely inconsistent with the facts, for which SM Entertainment expresses our deep regret.

We will continue to do our utmost to protect the rights, honor,and dignity of our artists.
