The season Brunson got to NY (22'-23'), Murray was in ATL which had Trae having to share the floor with another point guard. Last time Brunson was in that situation he averaged 16/5/4.
Trae, prior to the year you're referencing, was averaging 28/10/4 vs Brunson's 24/6/3 in 22'

The Knicks literally brought in Brunson's group chat, plus an all-star and a new coach. I'm sure a lot of stars would perform better in that situation.

Odds are, if he played in an era where 3's were more common, he'd have shot and MADE more. An argument could be made for guys like Nash, Joe Dumars & Mark Price as well.
