As there has been a great deal of speculation recently—and many assumptions circulating—we feel it would be better to provide clarification directly.

1) about co-publishing with Publang
For the US region, we will be co-publishing most of our titles with Publang. Please also note that information from third parties may not always be accurate, and we are unable to take responsibility for statements made by unofficial sources—thank you for your understanding.

As for exactly which titles have been licensed for co-publishing, please stay tuned for our future announcements—we can share for now that it is more than a dozen titles.

While the final lineup might surprise you, we worked hard to build the best selection of titles out of the options available to us. Interestingly, we were also somewhat surprised—some titles we expected to be highly competitive remained unclaimed. As a result, the selections we eventually secured may come as a surprise as well.

2) about co-publishing formats
All co-published titles will include both physical editions and ebooks.

3) about ebook availability on other platforms
Many readers have asked whether our ebooks will also become available on other platforms—the answer is yes.

That said, we kindly ask for some patience. There are still many things we are currently sorting out, and expanding to additional ebook platforms will be one of our major focuses next year. If you have suggestions for platforms you’d like to see, please feel free to email us. While we may not be able to make every suggestion possible, we do read every email carefully and genuinely consider all feedback.

4) about future physical book editions
Going forward, there will be two editions:
Singapore edition (also referred to as the online edition)
Includes online-exclusive freebies. This edition will mainly be sold online through selected stores, including our previous retailer/partners.
United states edition (also referred to as the bookstore edition)
Includes synopsis postcards. Rosmei and Publang are working together to bring these editions into more bookstores across the US. As always, these arrangements take time, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and continued support.

5) the reason behind having two physical editions
① Supporting our small-scale retail partners
As many readers may know, most of rosmei’s partners are small independent businesses, just like rosmei itself. These partners have supported us from the very beginning, and through their stores, more books from independent publishers have become available to international readers.
Over time, rosmei titles have also become an important part of sales for many of these stores. Because of this, we want to avoid creating sudden huge changes that may negatively affect them. For that reason, we have reserved the sg edition for these stores.
We sincerely hope our retail partners can continue to grow alongside us. Publishing and bookselling are both challenging industries in the current global economy, and we deeply value everyone who has supported independent publishing.
② Expanding our reach to more readers
At the same time, we also hope to continue promoting our titles and reaching more readers.
For this reason, we have prepared the bookstore edition. This edition includes a printed synopsis postcard and is intended for wider bookstore distribution, usually at a more accessible price point. These bookstores will also be able to sell our books online, though this will take time—we are currently aiming for next year.
Our hope is that, through both editions, we can continue supporting independent bookstores while also helping more readers discover and enjoy our books.

6) We are currently working with our EU partners to explore ways to reduce book purchasing costs, and we aim to make progress around September.
