@MattWalshBlog It’s not an issue of tone. It’s an issue of right and wrong. Accomplishment is great, but it doesn’t give you the right to be undiscerning in your method. Humiliating, demeaning or insulting opponents is uncharitable. And does not need to be a choice between truth and charity.
@Ike_Saul Tribal, political fundamentalism never advances public discourse. Thoughtful, charitable critiques just don’t get the likes/follows and won’t satisfy the Two Minutes of Hate crowd. You’re doing just fine.
@MattWalshBlog Matt, honestly, I have faced this issue directly and very personally. I’ve argued face-to-face with clarity, directness and truth. But also with charity. Truth is not condescending, humiliating and haughty. Your fight is good, but you are more concerned with yourself.
@SykesCharlie@WSJ Why didn’t someone lock all the doors?! How could there be an active threat for twelve minutes and the school isn’t on complete lockdown?! It was enough to keep the cops out apparently. I just don’t understand…
I bet many of you had never seen this footage before.
“There have been two great accidents in my life. One was the train, the other was Diego. Diego was by far the worst.” - Frida Kahlo.
@EWErickson It's all political fundamentalism all the time. People have substituted Truth for tribalism, real community for the echo chamber, and eternity for temporal, petty victories.
