π Opened a brand new bridge
Here's a quick look at what we've been up to over the last couple of weeks π€
The turf has been cut as building starts on a brand new 420-place primary school.
It's located within Broadnook garden village, a new settlement in Charnwood borough with 1,950 new homes.
Take a look at the ceremony to mark the start of the work.
Today we're marking a major milestone for the brand new Zouch bridge, as we celebrate opening to road traffic π
This modern structure cost Β£19.5 million and replaces an almost 100 year old bridge, which was no longer fit for purpose
The full A6006 route between the A6 in Leicestershire and the A60 in Nottinghamshire will reopen once Network Rail completes its work at nearby Kirk Hill Bridge, which is expected later in July. Until then, through traffic and HGVs will need to continue using the signed diversion
From Monday 6 July 2026, Zouch bridge will open to local traffic and bus services only.
Access has already been opened to pedestrians, walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
Our Dedicated Placement Support Team is celebrating a decade of supporting children in care, foster carers and birth families π
Since 2016, the service has helped 700+ families build stronger and more stable relationships.
