That time the Mavs and MFFL’s everywhere realized there was something special about their rookie from Slovenia when he went on a personal 11-0 run vs the Rockets.
From the beginning, No moment was too big— No lights were too bright 🔥🔥
Hungary held the only migration referendum in Europe: our people expressed a clear NO to a flood of uninvited arrivals! So we built a fence and kept our country safe. Meanwhile, the West traded safety and prosperity for terror, chaos, and crushing costs. Sometimes standing alone means leading the way. 🇭🇺
Dumont..
First, there's nothing worse than silver-spooned buffoons & their business-speak. It's nails on a chalkboard. The art of appearing competent & savvy to camouflage complete ineptitude.
"We were not competitive before the trade deadline"
Motherfucker, that guy you traded.. Luka Doncic.. avg 37 PPG for almost a MONTH before that deadline. The Mavs were playing a ROOKIE center, Grant fucking Williams, Dante Exum, TIM HARDAWAY JR. Kyrie was injured for half of it (as was Lively). LUKA was CARRYING that average ass team 40/min a night while putting up 40pt triple doubles. Every. Single. Competent, rational Mavs fan looks back on last season & says "damn dude thank God for Luka, we wouldn't have stayed afloat to make that run". No one, & I mean NO ONE, looked back & thought "darnit man Luka's holding us back". You *finally* added some competent players who could defend, rebound, protect the rim, and whadaya know.. within 3 months Luka lead you to the FINALS. After years of begging, Nico *finally* got Luka a lob threat & whadaya know.. within 8 months he took you to the FINALS. This sort of perspective of last season is insanity. Not to even MENTION the WCF run & THAT roster Luka carried, the battles vs. Clippers, the 5 1st All NBA, ROY, his playoff numbers, the mile long list of accolades...
"We got to the title game and didn't win"
"How do we get better"
Seriously, real question.. what do you attribute last year's success to? Defense? Rebounding? Jason fucking Kidd? It was Kyrie Irving, and Luka fucking Doncic, being complete & utter superstars. That. is. it. The worlds best backcourt, doing best backcourt in the world things. Scoring the basketball when it's hardest.. in the playoffs. The supporting cast was phenomenal, crucial. But it wasn't Daniel Gafford scoring 20 pts in 10 min to morally eviscerate the Wolves in ONE quarter. It wasn't DJJ hitting PJ Washington with open lasers in the corner for an entire series (and PJ certainly wasn't BUTT NAKED WIDE OPEN for that entire series because of DJJ). DJJ, Lively & Gafford weren't scoring 90% of their points on lobs from Tim Hardaway. This statement screams WE made that Finals run. ME and NICO made brilliant trades and WE did this. You sir, did not do shit. Your mommy-in-law bought you an NBA franchise for her gambling empire, while you sat courtside, belly-out, to reap the rewards of LUKA DONCIC and KYRIE IRVINGs brilliance. You inherited a brilliant roster, built around a transcendent talent, went directly to the Finals, and tore it all down behind the idea that Mavs should somehow be much better, somehow were failing to meet its potential, but ME, and the guy who's resume is outlined by shoe releases, have the answers. WE can easily replace this once-in-a-lifetime home grown superstar, that's beloved by thousands of fans, if WE can just add guys that fit OUR theoretical defensive Navy Seal mantra.
"Looked at the directory of this season - we did not get better, other teams did"
Well, when healthy the Mavs had the best starting lineup in the NBA. They got a whole 15 games together and were what, 12-3? You didn't even give the Team a chance, you blew it up halfway after being decimated with injuries. All this tells fans is after making the Finals, you panicked and felt anything other than ring was a failure. That it MUST be a title THIS year.. which is INSANE. This means you traded for AD to "save the season", with NO regard for the future. The future to you was THIS year. MAYBE next. My best guess, you and Nico watched Luka have a terrible game vs the Thunder in the NBA Cup, with all the hype around the team, and decided in THAT moment he had to go. That is the only reasonable conclusion, because there was no other point in the season with the table set to make that sort of evaluation. It was the only real glimpse into a healthy Mavs vs. title contender. Which is all the more infuriating.
"We want to be a franchise of character and carry on the legacy of the Mavs in the right way"
Dude.. the FO behavior post-trade has been ANYHING but "character". I'm embarrassed of this Team. You speak of "legacy" in the same monologue defending the trade that sent the franchise's entire legacy out the door. That WAS the legacy.
This is now YOUR legacy, Patrick. You're just another inferior rich guy trying to prove you've somehow earned and deserve all that you have. YOU, sir, do not mean a damn thing to Mav fans. You've been here 5 minutes and speak of "we owe it to Dallas", after *destroying* Dallas, without even yet grasping the fundamental identity of what makes Dallas fans. It's a joke. Just fuck off man. fuck all the way off.
NBA officials are in charge of the safety and well being of the players on the court, yet, in the last two games, they have not remembered that important element of their job
The NBA's "ratings problem" is a myth.
While the NFL dominates cable, the future of viewing sports is not on your TV screen...
The secret lies in the metrics that AREN'T being tracked.
Here's why "ratings" are about to become irrelevant forever: 🧵

We know what happened when Biden put her in charge of the border:
Millions of illegal immigrants poured into the US, partly because she’d promised them free stuff.
never forget when a 36 year old zlatan ibrahimovic cleared the ball, organised the counter attack and scored the winning goal in the 2017 league cup final
